The wolf king 19

Chapter 19. Did he hug her this hard last night?

***

She didn’t think she had the right to say no. She understood. With his size, he probably needed more water than she did, but this was.........

Trisha rolled her eyes and wished she hadn't sneaked a drink for herself. She should have waited for when he was sleeping. How would she know when he was sleeping, anyway. It's all twisted. No, what she had done was a very good thing, but Kalos had made it weird.

But no matter what she said to herself, she knew she'd have to do it all over again.

Again.

This time, she gritted her teeth. She pursed her lips to keep the sound from escaping.

Another flick of his tongue, unlike the first. Her palms began to tremble visibly. Her pupils were fluttering along with them. Her eyes, lost and wandering, met his, who had the misfortune to sneak a glance in her direction.

Her breath caught in her throat.

He must have noticed her stiffening, but he held her gaze with a sneer and parted his lips once more.

Mmm.

Despite her best efforts, she gave in to his tongue tease a third time. Who knew she could do it three times, she thought, blushing from ear to ear at the sound of her own moan.

She was torn between embarrassment and lust, but one thing was clear: He was playing with her now. This wolf king.

This was clearly a tease.

He was just staring at her, his tongue lolling. To see her reaction, to enjoy it.

Again, Kalos's lips twitched. For some reason, the tip of his lips seemed to lift.

Was he going to do it again?

Trisha jerked her hand out of his grasp in frustration. Stop it, please.

She managed to get it back in place, but she could still feel his erotic tongue on her palm. It felt foreign, like it wasn't her hand, even though it was hers. It felt like her hand was the only one swelling. It was the only one she cared about. Only that hand felt heavier.

She looked away and drew in a sharp breath. She fought to gather her composure and calm her heart, which was beating at an alarming rate. She was used to controlling her simmering anger and grief, but she had never done this before, and it was not easy. It was a moment that made her feel even more embarrassed.

"Thank you."

His deep voice came from above her head. It was low enough to echo through the small space, and though it was a proper word, there was a hint of laughter in it. Funny, she could tell this wolf king was having a lot of fun.

"I look forward to next time."

It was a little boring from being trapped in such a small space. That's why he's playing with her like this.

She felt something rising up, but she pushed it down. There's no good in reacting to anything right now. Even if they were in the same room, she shouldn't get involved. Only silence and inaction would do.

Another moment of silence passed. He wasn't teasing anymore, which was a relief.

The awkward air hung heavy in the darkened room. Unlike him, who was somewhat stoic, she felt awkward and uncomfortable to death. She winced at the strange sensation she'd never felt before in her palms.

It was embarrassing. A failure.

She shouldn't have fed him water.

She regretted it. She blamed herself.

"Say something."

No. She forced herself to hold back the urge to scream, really, really hard. She couldn’t say anything in this situation. She would never do it. It was wise to keep her mouth shut in front of him. She remained silent, not even moving her lips.

"You must have had something you wanted to say when you saw me."

When she remained silent, he became frustrated, and this time, instead of teasing her, he urged her on. It was obvious that he was finding it difficult to fit into this small space, even more so given his size. She barely moved her lips, which were set hard.

"There is no such thing."

Of course there wasn’t.

What could she possibly have to say to him when all she wanted to do was avoid him, not meet him. Not to the other two princesses.

His harsh breathing suddenly became more ragged as he realized how unkind her answer was. She could feel his patience wearing thin.

Please don't say anything, please, please.

Weakness was a weakness, and she couldn't help but shrink in front of Kalos.

"Who is Aaron?"

For a moment, Trisha was dumbfounded. What kind of question was this?

"Who is that?"

She couldn't help but ask. She didn't recognize the name.

"I know because you told me."

Her tone was nuanced, as if she was being coy.

"Me?"

If you don't know, you don't know. She asked bluntly.

As he studied her expression, his eyes deepened, and then suddenly he snorted in disbelief. He didn't seem to believe her at all.

She didn’t know why he was suddenly catching people with the wrong things. Was this... boredom? Another one of his tricks?

"You're amazing. You've got me fooled, that innocent look on your face."

He was calling her a liar even though she was telling the truth. She was a master at pissing people off.

"I really don't know."

His gaze, still unflattering, fell on her. He seemed to be angry with her. Ha! Who would be angry?

"I don't remember. I don't know.”

That's why she said she couldn't remember the Lamu god for a reason. She didn’t recognize the name now, and she thought, "Is that what he's asking about?

But then she wondered who he really was, and why he wanted to know.

Now she was beginning to feel uncomfortable.

"You're tired."

It was a match. After all this arguing, she was tired, too. She wished she could get some sleep. If only she could sleep. Time would pass faster if she slept.

She secretly welcomed his words, but she was wrong again.

He sank back into his seat, glared at her, and urged her with his eyes, "Lie down." She did. She was tired and wanted to sleep, but that meant sleeping in his arms again, just like last night. Ah... when would she ever be free of this ordeal?

Trisha’s expression remained impassive as she forced herself to lie down beside him again. She had barely forgotten about the palm incident earlier.

Ugh.

It felt like he hugged her too hard. Had he hugged her this hard even last night?

Still, she couldn't complain, as she had no choice but to accept his touch.

His body had grown cold again now that they had been sitting a little apart for a while. Her body shivered once with a chill. It wasn't necessarily from that, but she didn't want to admit to any other reason.

Fortunately, he was really tired and yawned loudly. Go back to sleep, please.

She closed her eyes tightly, just like last night, and kept repeating the words like a mantra. But she was distracted by the feel of his hard chest against her back and his strong arms around her. And this time, his strong legs were wrapped around her hips. He hadn't done this last night.

The hairs on her head stood on end. Her breath came out unevenly, and she didn't want him to know. His heavy chest heaved slightly. It seemed like he was smiling. Damn it. She'd been caught.

If she made the slightest movement to pull away, his arms and legs would wrap around her even tighter. At this rate, her body would crush in his arms. It was like he was doing it on purpose. Either way, she was trapped in his body.

Hmm....

The sound of Kalos's purr made her even more nervous. It was the sound of satisfaction, like he'd found something he liked.

She couldn't believe how nervously her heart was pounding in her chest.

Heaven help her, she heard Kalos snore softly behind her.

All the tension in her body was instantly released. She finally let out a breath of relief and her whole body went limp.

Exhaustion overtook her, just like it had last night, but in a strange way. Even when it seemed like she couldn't fall asleep, she dozed off again. It must be because of the tension.

It was. If she woke up after a long night's sleep, a lot of time would have passed, and the time to get out of here would be closer.

Still, how fortunate she was that Kalos hadn't touched her. It was thanks to her stepmother. She never thought she would ever thank her, but perhaps it's because of his anger at her stepmother that she was able to sleep so soundly.

Trisha, unaware of Kalos’s insomnia, was drifting off to sleep again.

She closed her eyes tightly, praying for a long, long sleep and cursing Kalos for holding her tightly and not letting go.
